Women: Art, Books and Printed Matter (collaboration with Hauser & Wirth)

In November 2016 the VCRG collaborated with Hauser & Wirth, Somerset on a symposium called ‘Women: Art, Books and Printed Matter’. The event took inspiration from themes raised by the Louise Bourgeois: Turning Inwards exhibition, which was on show at Hauser & Wirth at that time. The symposium featured presentations by Clare Johnson (UWE), Many Ure (Kingston University) and Sarah Bodman (UWE) and was chaired by Fiona Bradley (Fruitmarket Gallery).

You can watch Fiona’s introduction, Sarah’s presentation on ‘Artists’ Books and Printmaking’ and Clare’s presentation on ‘Parallel Lines: Historical Time and Women’s Art’, along with the panel discussion, here.
